Project Milestones

1. Initial Design The project began with an inclusive design phase, incorporating valuable feedback from students and the community to ensure the new precinct reflects the needs and aspirations of all stakeholders.
2. Planning Process The planning phase involved the careful preparation and submission of applications, followed by obtaining the necessary Government approvals to move forward with the project confidently.
3. Interior Design Finalisation We are in the final stages of interior design, with ongoing input from students, ensuring that the spaces are not only functional but also resonate with those who will use them most.
4. Builder Tender A competitive tender process is underway, inviting leading construction firms to bid, ensuring that we select the best partner to bring our vision to life with excellence and efficiency.
5. Builder Selection After a rigorous evaluation, the best-suited builder will be selected, followed by the development of a detailed construction schedule to guide the project’s successful execution.
6. Phase 1 Construction  The initial phase of construction will focus on building the Aquatics Centre and developing outdoor spaces, laying the foundation for the precinct’s innovative facilities. This will also enable the current PEC to remain in use.
7. Phase 2 Construction The second phase will complete the project by constructing the Indoor Sports Centre, completion of the underground car park and the remaining facilities, bringing the full vision of the precinct to life with state-of-the-art amenities. The new Aquatics Centre will be operational whilst the Indoor Sports Centre is being constructed.
