Our Goals

Purpose

At MLC, we are dedicated to nurturing the holistic development of every student, where learning and wellbeing are seamlessly integrated.

The new Physical Education and Sport Precinct is a key part of this commitment, designed to provide an inclusive environment that encourages all girls to participate in physical activities. These state-of-the-art facilities will be more than just a place for sport; it is a hub for building resilience, fostering mental wellbeing, and cultivating a lifelong love of movement.

Goals

  • Increase Physical Activity
Our primary goal is to inspire every student to engage in regular physical activity, whether through sports, PE classes, fitness or recreational activities.
  • Inclusive Environment
With a variety of facilities catering to different interests and abilities, the precinct will ensure that every girl finds an activity that resonates with her.
  • Foster Community
The precinct is designed to be a vibrant space where students, staff, and the broader MLC community can connect, collaborate, and support each other.
  • Empower Girls
We are committed to providing an environment where girls can build confidence, develop leadership skills, and pursue their personal best in every area of life.
  • Develop Lifelong Habits
Instil a love for physical activity and healthy living that extends beyond school, fostering habits that contribute to lifelong wellbeing
It’s great that a school like MLC is evolving and identifying the needs and wants of newer generations of girls and young women. Having welcoming and inclusive facilities to people of different interests and offering a wide variety of sports will encourage young women to maintain and improve their participation in sports and physical activities.

Because I'm doing doing triathlon and have to train swimming, running and cycling, it'd be great if it was all [at MLC] because then I can do it before school and after school without driving to different places.
