Sports Performance Scholarship

For promising girls in sports

Sports scholarship candidates will be performing at the highest possible state or national level or equivalent in one of the team or individual sports offered within MLC’s extensive Sports Program.

The successful candidate will also have made a contribution to the broader community and demonstrate a commitment to engaging and contributing to the College.

Sports scholars are expected to demonstrate a substantial commitment to their area of sporting excellence, to take advantage of MLC’s sports coaching and facilities, and to represent the school in all relevant events and competitions.

2026 Sports Scholarships are now closed.
2027 Entry Scholarships will open in November 2025.

Duration for the above scholarships is for the entirety of the student's secondary schooling.

Eligibility

  • Must be an Australian citizen, permanent Australian resident or temporary resident.
  • Currently at MLC or attending another school.
  • Must register for the Edutest Scholarship academic test, and complete an additional MLC All-Rounder Sports Performance Scholarship Form (available at time of application)
  • Proof of performing at a state or national standard in a Sport offered by MLC.
  • Proof of contribution/s to the broader community.

Value

A percentage of the annual tuition fees and technology levy. This includes computer, technology support and peripherals.

Information required within the Scholarship Application

  • Evaluation of a 200-word statement on why the candidate is applying for this scholarship; this should be written by the student, demonstrating her accomplishments, talents, any leadership experience and her reasons for wanting to attend MLC.
  • The student's most recent NAPLAN test results.
  • A completed Sports Performance Form. You will be provided a link for this document upload upon submission of the Edutest Scholarship Application form.
  • Additional documents to support the sport achievements of the scholarship applicant, and the student’s most recent school report.

Conditions

Scholarship holders are expected to complete their secondary education at MLC. Please refer to the MLC Scholarship Terms & Conditions.

Application Process

Apply via the Edutest portal

Apply for an MLC Scholarship via the Edutest online portal. This includes a registration fee.

2027 Entry Applications will open in late 2025.

Upload the Sports Performance Form

Upon submission of your Scholarship Application via the Edutest online portal, applicants will receive a link via email to upload their completed Sports Performance Form (see PDF link above), along with any additional documents to support the applicant’s sport achievements and their most recent student report.

Please note an Application will be incomplete until this form has been uploaded.

Sit the Scholarship Test

For 2027 scholarships, this session is held at MLC on a Saturday in February 2026, date to be advised. The session will last the full morning.

Edutest will communicate with families in the week of the Scholarship Test to confirm final information.

Invitation to Interview

Short-listed candidates will be contacted by email with an invitation to an interview.

Unsuccessful candidates will also be notified. Please note MLC will not be able to provide individual feedback of applications.
