As part of this commitment, students with special talents are invited to apply for the scholarships on offer.

MLC scholarships are competitive and awarded on the basis of results of the scholarship application (including personal statement), previous school reports, the scholarship test and an interview.

Scholarships are offered to commencing and continuing students and recognise outstanding achievement or relevant personal circumstances. MLC awards a significant number of scholarships each year and may vary the number and amount of scholarships to reflect the quality of applicants and the availability of places.

The Angela Sharman Memorial Music Scholarship honours the memory of Angela Sharman, an Old Collegian, and is awarded to a musician who has significant musical talent and relevant personal circumstances.

Audience: Entry Years 10 and 11

  • Currently at MLC or attending another school
  • Combined family income of less than $110,000 per annum (means-tested)
  • Talented musician

Dr Wood, Principal of MLC 1939-1966, was a remarkable man and it is intended that the Scholarship that bears his name will give students a very real reminder of a life dedicated to serving others and acknowledges Dr Wood's enormous contribution to MLC.

The Dr Wood Scholarship recognises a student of fine character who has demonstrated:
